Mission

The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS) supports students navigating college life through an international lens. We serve F-1 and J-1 visa holders, U.S. citizens living abroad, and dual citizens adjusting to life in the U.S. higher education system. From immigration guidance to cultural adjustment and campus connections, our goal is to help every international student feel informed, supported, and at home at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.

Prospective students

  • Applying to Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø: Admission to Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø of non-U.S. citizens is based upon overall academic strength as well as the financial ability to meet the cost of an Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø education.
  • English proficiency requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English must meet one of the following English proficiency requirements for admission.

Pre-arrival information

  • Packing recommendations: Find a list of documents and items for international students to bring to campus, including travel documents, bags, medicine and more.
  • Arrival and move-in: New international students should plan to arrive at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø in August for the fall semester. If you¡¯re arriving during the designated move-in dates, here¡¯s what to expect.
  • Travel and immigration: International students should submit a Travel Plans form to the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS).

International Student Orientation

  • International Student Orientation: International Student Orientation is a required program for all new international students and an essential part of your transition to Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.
  • Global Mentors: Global Mentors are student leaders who support first-year international students as they transition to life at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.

  • Health insurance: All international F1/J1 visa students must have the college health insurance plan. Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø ensures coverage for all international students under a very comprehensive and affordable health insurance.
